I've watched the movie last week and I have to say that its amazing, something completely new for the whole ALIEN universe. Ridley Scott did it again with this movie, it explains enough for you to make your own conclusions about the beginnings of the beast, which wasn't always as we know it. Excellent atmosphere, Scott doesn't abuse of CG, which is great.

This movie leaves aside the second part, ALIENS and the third, which I think its even better. He continues with the mystery that surrounded the first movie. I wont tell you what's the movie about cause you HAVE to watch it.

Overall its an excellent movie, not just the typical bloodthirsty space monster movie, it offers a new concept and shows what we wanted to see, the Space Jockeys... they aren't good guys.

I don't like the term "Xenomorph" cause apparently that was Cameron's idea, the beast itself has no name... it's just the ALIEN and for me THE ONE AND ONLY ALIEN is the one from the first movie, the master piece from the hands of Giger, Scott and his team. Don't get me wrong, ALIENS was an awesome movie, specially cause Stan Winston was in charge of all special effects, I admire his work but ALIENS lacks the mystery and magic that the first movie had.

Hey there, first of all I'd like to thanks EVERYONE who took a little of their time to leave a birthday comment here, that was very kind of you and I appreciate that very much.

I've being working on a couple of projects (I still working on them) and I feel very satisfied mostly cause I'm working on something I love, which is digital painting (in case you didn't noticed ), apparently the gods are smiling upon me because I have a lot of work to do and I hope this could be the first of many good steps for a better artistic future.

In other unrelated note. I've being playing Skyrim... and its the best game ever, I'm almost addicted to it, great atmosphere, amazing character and creature designs, awesome music... well it have everything, not to mention that you have to slay Dragons, which are very well designed. If you have the chance to play it.... you wont regret it.

In another unrelated note... again, this predator and ponies drawings, some people over the net take em very seriously, I don't understand that, I draw that cause I can and its just FOR FUN, and nothing else, actually is very weird, now that I think about it, I don't know if I'm crazy or the rest of the people don't have any sense of humor... or they don't get out too much, I just don't get it, anyways I'm not going to stop regardless if there are people out there that might rant about it...

Greetings youngbloods. this is a regular update, just like the rest so Im going to announce a couple of things.

First, the Wristblades are almost complete, the mechanism is fully functional with 2 springs, one that pulls the blades and the other that pushes. Painting remains and details like how to attach it to the arm and other small details.

Im still drawing the second page of the comic thing, its almost ready to paint it but I think I'll use flat colors to work faster. I have a WWII painting on the way BUT... yeah BUT all that will have to wait cause I got super sculpey and I want to get into that and I will spend most of my time in that so probably I will not post any painting, drawing or anything silly for a while... still, I'll answer questions or comment on anything of my interest.

Now, WHAT to sculpt?, Im between the Chaos Serpent from Hexen or a demon from Doom, like a Hell knight or the "pinky pie" demon but Im not sure. My inexperience calls for simplicity, so the Chaos Serpent would be the right choice, he's not too hard nor too easy so Im starting with some basic diagrams on paper, I dont what to make too many mistakes so the more precise diagrams I have the better will be. If I build the wire structure wrong from the very begining... I'll be screwed.

The last and more difficult project will be to sculpt any of my Protoss OC, when my experience with the sculpt thing increases, I'll try with one of them.

OH!! and before I forget. Thanks very much for those who have donated some points to this humble artist and all who have shown some interest in my work, a BIG THANKYOU. Probably I'll think about comissions in the near future

Greetings youngbloods, well Im writing this basecally cause I was kind of bored... it's eeehh exactly 23:26 here and my bed time its about 02:00 in the morning... Im more like a night critter.

Anyway, thanks for the 60.000 pageviews, Im glad that you are actually taking the time to have a little look around here and also leaving a  comment, complain or whatever is on your mind.

As you all saw, I was drawing too many predators so I decided to stop for a while, in the meantime I'll try to build my own predator equipment, right now Im working on the wristblades that Im carving on 10mm sintra (trovicel or something like that) its soft and resistant enough so it will not break untill is forced to (I'll upload some pics if everything goes as planned) . uuuuhhh, also I'll try to buy some Super Sculpey cause I want to get into the sculpting world, I bought some tools and I just need that goddamn sculpey. I'll start with simple things, easy to sculpt, then raising up the challenge a little bit untill I can sculpt my own Yaut'ja or Protoss OC's

I think thats pretty much all uuuhhh... Im in the RIFT contest so wish me luck... though I dont believe in such thing but weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeell =/

As you all may know Japan was "attacked" by a very powerful earthquake and several aftershocks, I've been watching the news the whole day and I have to say that each time that I see an earthquake I feel more and more amazed by them... such power, such violence not to mention the power of the ocean, the sea can claim whatever "he" wants anytime "he" wants.

This whole destruction reminded me our own earthquake... our 8.8º, of course the preparation and culture cannot be compared with japan, they are a lot more trained for such disaster, they have the tech and trainning.

Now the tsunami or seaquake that was created by the quake is arriving to our coasts, such thing started the tsunami alert for the entire chilean coast, from Arica to Pta Arenas... the evacuation from every coastal zone has been preety good... although there are always some chaotic or psychotic people who cannot handle pressure or emergencies or even worst, people that in their ignorance, sow disorder for the authorities.

Anyway, Japan will rise quick, it always been like that as one of the most advanced economic powers of the world. I hope that everything will be repaired and some lives can be saved from debris of buildings. Lets not forget about any possible nuclear meltdown :S

Now, there is something that cought my attention here in dA. I've seen a lot of pics about the quake in japan like "pray for japan" or something like that... did somebody prayed for us when we had our quake???? many lives were lost too, we still have people half homeless and many problems, dont missunderstand me, I dont HATE Japan or anything like that... its just kind of weird, I dont recall any pic about "pray for chile" or anything like it (well I guess I couldn't see any cause I was near the epicenter so I had no electric power for over a week so IF im wrong I apologize), anyway... seeing that made me think that apparently our country is less important ? or the disaster in japan just cought the attention of super japan fans here? (anime, manga... those things have many fans) I certainly have no idea about it but those pics gave me a funny feeling... not a comfortable feeling

uuhh, hey there! how are you? good I hope. Well, im writing this thing mainly cause Im a bit bored, I have nothing to upload since the raibow trout wich had good acceptance (I think...) among most of you, considering that painting was bit out of my regular gallery.

Anyway, yesterday was valentine's day... valentine's day MY ASS. is just
aanother day for buying, buying, buying and...oh, yes! buying. NO particular meaning for such number in the calendar.

In a unrelated note, Im looking forward to a new fishing trip this weekend, Im going for rainbow trouts or brown trouts... or whatever is in that river. Im gonna try my new home-made flies and other lures, I just hope that I can catch something... I hate returning home after a fishing trip with my hands empty.

HI everyone, this is a regular update wishing you a merry xmas to all, that means good family company, friends and a very good meal... wich in my understanding is the best part of xmas (besides Im no longer a little boy so I dont care about presents)aaaaaaaaannd besides Im not a religious guy so I just like xmas because is a good occasion to be together as a family and share a few things.

In an unrelated note... I got an Alien from Neca, the original giger Alien (wich is a figure that is no longer available in regular comic or toy stores) a very good detailed figure... I love it, great sculping quality for the price, I also got a T-800 endoskeleton from neca aswell, that figure is not as well detailed as the Alien but is "enough" to satisfy my "collector thirst" and finally I got my favorite figure, a neca classic predator from predators movie, the figure is very well detailed, has good articulation points and very cool features like his shoulder cannon and backpack and his retractile wristblades. If you, PREDATOR FANS have the chance to get that figure... do it, DO IT, you wont regret it. (i got these figures before xmas so they weren't presents )

Now Im looking forward to save some money and try to get the hot toys clasic predator.. that damn figure just blow my mind, expensive as hell but I think it worth its price

in other news, my time as a premium user is running low, 2 months according to this, soon I'll return to "normal". I've played SC2, the game was pretty good, great graphics and many funny options, like the cantina and the lab... pretty creative but my computer crashed in ONE mission wich was "The devil's Playground" apparently my ATI Radeon HD 4670 shut down after a few minutes in that mission... so I skkiped it and problem solved I just hope guys at blizzard or AMD solve the problem with ati graphic cards or at least with the HD 4600 series for the next games.

well, you all know about this little story of mine. I've enjoyed a lot painting these pics but I believe that my creativity is running low... so probably I'll not paint the actual fight between the predator and the na'vi... Im going to leave that part to your imagination ... unless I think something else

I haven't written anything here in a while, well everytthing has returned to normal after the damn earthquake... eehmm, mostly everything

in something UNRELATED to the disaster I have to say that I now have more available time cuz I've quit my fucking job, I couldn't stand it anymore and the people in there aswell... REAL ASSHOLES , but Im going to laugh so bad when everything turns against them, I'll WATCH HOW THEY HAVE TO EAT THEIR OWN TURD to survive so... they can all go to hell

in other news, Im starting business with some friends to be our own bosses and to create our own design agency, so Im working on that. If everything goes as I've forseen, we shouldn't have any major problems.

in a COMPLETELY UNRELATED note, I wat to learn guitar, (regular guitar, not electric or anything fancy), clarinet seems to be to hard to learn, specially without someone to teach you, it's a beautiful instrument but let's face it... is not as easy as is looks like buuuuuuuuuuuut, Im not so sure if I should buy a guitar... I mean, Im not sure if Im going to have the constancy to practice though I like it... well, Im not sure.

3 weeks aprox have passed since the earthquake, we have been under the siege of the earth with several aftershocks, some very powerful (6,7º - 6,9º Richter). Experts say that we'll be feeling this aftershocks for about 5 or 6 months, that we have to get use to them... difficult task that is.

Some things are getting to normal, water supply and many other services are online but still, we're FAAAAAAR from normal.

Anyway, hard days we live today but we must fight on, we have no choice. I have retuned to my job, so Im pretty fine... for now

Saturday 03:30 AM aprox. Concepcion, Chile (where I live)

The biggest and most powerful display of the nature force struk us. 8.8º of pure energy showed us how weak we are and how unprepared it cought us. The strenght of the earthquake was so powerful that cracked the streets in half, whole buildings destroyed or structurally weakened, no electricity for more than a week, no water supply for the same time. The nature told us that it can destroy us with little effort.

The whole disaster came a few hours later, hordes of delinquents started to plundering every single market, pharmacy, hospital, etc. I feel REALLY ashamed to be chilean, and of Chile, a country where the people steals to its own people... thats the REAL DISASTER. The politicians who are "in charge" of the country are a real ASSHOLES, fucking assholes, from the president to her ministers and all those pieces of shit that call themselves "public servers", the dont worth more than a turd !!!

Fortunately our army took the control before thieves and looters could. THANKS EJERCITO DE CHILE (army of chile) they're the best. We had to cover ourselves in our neighborhoods with barricades, arm ourselves with guns, shotguns, rifles, knives, sticks anything that could kill. Now the thing si a bit more calm under the state of siege and curfew that the goverment has decreed (too late in my perspective)

Now, Im pretty fine, a bit tired with the night guard here but aside of that, Im fine. A few structural damage but nothing tan cannot be repaired.

Los supermercados estarian con todo su stock de mercaderia si los milicos los hubiesen parado antes... pero NO, como la vieja culia de mierda es resentida social, dejo la caga a proposito pal prox gobierno de Piñera (gob que va a ser mejor, eso toy seguro, ta mas que claro que el modelo politico socialista, ademas de ser arcaico ya NO FUNCIONAAAAAA).

La ayuda es necesaria para la gente honesta que NO robo ni saqueo, en especial a la gente que sufrio daños incomnesurables por el tsunami.

I've returned from my vacations... well actually I returned home last thursday. The trip was good, great weather, great place but a lot of wind. The fishing... was a total DISASTER, a complete FAILURE, I guess we went to the lake out of season, nothing and I mean NOTHING bit any kind of bait. Rapala didn't work as many other baits.

Anyway, tomorrow I have to get back to work, SHIT, I dont want to but here's the good part. I want a XboX360 and today I went to the mall, looking for it and I found it, I just have to wait for the paycheck and other stuff and IT WILL BE MINE

Now in something unrelated, I watched AVATAR, this, almost, worshiped movie. I know Im not a movie critic or journalist but I can give my opinion about it... well, here it goes.

Lot of special effects, 3d shit, thats OK very creative alien world not something never before seen but creative nonetheless, yes, yes... now leaving all the CG crap aside I can say the story is too lame and SO predictable, I know many people really like it, yes the movie is not bad but is too long (2 hours and something) for such a predictable story. The tipical romantic story about a guy who is sent to learn about the enemy and then he turn against his own race... somekind of a strange mixture of many things... like The Last of the Mohicans, Pocahontas on space Evangelion... yes, evangelion, very similar way how the humans control the blue critters... and so on.

So, now something ackward, why humans used such an old weapons? bullets... rockets and why helicopter kinda machines? apparently they discover a way to travel into the deep space... why to use bullets then? why they just didn't use laser guns or something? so strategically stupid, with such level of traveling technology I dont know how is that they didn't built something like a T-800, they would have done a much better work (dont send a human to do a machine's job) or poisonous gas or anykind of bioweapons, the only thing that really matters was somekind of of weird fucking stone what about a H-bomb... or an atomic bomb, much simple I might add. OK, too agressive, yes... so, what about a space strike, like a bombardment from a safe place away from the flying critters, the planet's atmosphere, very safe, very effective (I dont like the blue guys, I know )

So... all in all, the CG and some designs of critters and plants were awesome, no doubt but the story, NO, lame and predictable. Is not a movie I'd recommend to see, is not a "must see" movie. Unless you guys like the romantic crap (not that I dont like romanticism) and the loooooove story, if you like the love story, good, no prob with that.

so, thats all... I have many other things to share about this movie but Im just TOO LAZY to write them down here

2009 is forever gone, 2010 has just arrived and I hope this new year be the best for everyone, so HAPPY NEW YEAR to every single one of my watchers, I do apprecciate all of your visits and comments, they're most welcome.

2008 was a year of many battles and arguments with some who call themeself friends, pretty sad year actually. 2009 was a year of a lot of hard work therefore I'll start this new year with some vacations that will start on January 8th so I'll try to relax go fishing and REST!!!

In other news, I GOT MY NEW INTUOS 4 TABLET !!!!!!!!!!!! and works pretty good, beautiful design I have to say, I didn't bought the biggest size, I got the small one... works fine with me, I dont need anything more.

Im pretty happy with it, I like the design, the colors scheme... everything. Was a bit expensive but I think it worth the price. I'll try to give it a good use... like my old tablet use to have
